I am Joining LaurieAnna's Team!!!!!!

Okay....many of you know how much I love LaurieAnna and her store in Canton.  I started shopping with Laurie when she was in the yellow house and I immediately fell in love.  We began chatting when I visited her store and found out that we had both worked in banking...AND at the same bank, oh so many years ago.  We began talking about people we know and found we have several friends in common.  The relationship has grown and I consider Laurie and Willy to be very special and very dear friends now.  A few months ago, Laurie graciously asked if I would like to set up in her shop during one of her shows. I nervously loaded up the trailer and headed to Canton.  I had a blast, sold lots of stuff and met so many wonderful people.  When the show was over, I told Laurie that I loved being a part of that energy and to let me know if she ever needed any help.  She quickly asked if I was serious and I (along with my friends Tracy and Michael) were at the next show helping customers and once again, having a blast.  After the show, Laurie asked if I had any interest in working in the shop regularly.  I explained that I had a full time job....but the thought of joining the team for one weekend a month was very intriguing.  We had several conversations and with her business growing leaps and bounds....I have accepted the opportunity to Manage the Shoppe for Laurie!  I am so very excited.  She has put together an incredible shoppe with an incredible team...and I feel blessed to be welcomed into the family.  This will be my first show and want everyone to come out and say hello.  As most of you know, a few times a year Laurie totally guts the shoppe and starts over.  She and Willy have been there all month (along with several helpers) introducing new merchandise for the spring and meticulously giving the entire shoppe an overhaul.  The pictures above are from her blog and this is what Laurie wrote: "Truck after truck, pallet on top of pallet filled with Spring goodies. Lots of pretty floral stems, new bolts of fabrics, scads of new Spring decor, lots of new tabletop, new lighting, tons of fabulous new Linen and Gauze clothing, pretty new bedding, new styles of farmhouse nightgowns and pajamas, new lines of candles, new jewelry, and of course loads of vintage treasures......there is just so much to see.  Come prepared to spend some time!"  I am so very excited to invite you all to LaurieAnna's March 1st - 4th.  We will be ready to help in any way we can.  Wish me luck and I will see you all soon!

Lighting....

Given that I love vintage dresses...well, I guess you can see why I like this picture!

I love this!  So simple....and I have several cool umbrellas.

Another wonderful idea.  I have a dish and bowl obsession and this would be a great way to use them so everyone could see them!

Such great whimsy!

My Mother has tons of these doilies...she could be making some wonderful lighting!

I have some hanging mason jar lights (thank you LaurieAnna)....but some wall sconces would be awesome on either side of my guest room bed!

Speechless....I LOVE THIS CHANDELIER!
I did not realize that when you get new carpet and flooring you start to examine EVERYTHING that looks dated in your house.  Lighting can really change the look or a room quickly (good or bad).  My Mother and Father moved from an older house into a newer one and she has been struggling with her shabby stuff in the newer house.  We have started replacing light fixtures and chandeliers and it has made a world of difference in the look and feel of each room.  The ceiling fans in my upstairs game room were dated and white, so I recently bought some galvanized industrial fans and it really created a look in the room that I love!  I also replaced a can light in my bathroom with a small chandelier and it made a huge impact!  Look at all your lighting and have some fun.  It really will make a BIG difference!  Oh, and these pictures are from Pinterest by the way!

More Lunchboxes....

Here are the overdue television show lunchboxes!  It has been fun pulling them out and remembering all these shows.  From Sister Bertrille to Mrs. Beasley.  From Juan Luis Pedro Felipo de Huevos Epstein to Half Pint.  From Marsha, Marsha, Marsha to Wocka Wocka Wocka!  All are great memories of a less hurried and simpler time!  Goodnight Angels!
