I am Back!

Hey All....I am back in the blogging world. Yahoo! Thanks for the notes while I was MIA! Nothing spectacular to report, just extremely busy at work and having to travel A LOT! Spent last week in San Diego...wow, if I did not love Texas so much, I could move there! We have also somewhat neglected our booths...as when I am in town it always seems like the weather is bad. We decided to bring in some new stuff later this week and I got worried that I did not have much to take. Started moving stuff in the garage and realized we actually have quite a bit. Looks like the pink booth will be getting the redo as a majority of the inventory is pink, black or white. Took some pictures in the driveway to share with you guys. We will probably be at the Mall on Thursday if anyone wants to stop in a say hello. I also just got a call extending an invitation to join my friends at the Homestead Antique Fair in Hico, Texas on May 7 & 8th. Dorothy from the Shabby Y and Felicia from Bountiful did the show last year and have raved every since. They talked me into trying it but I told them they are going to have to help me as I have never done a show before. What better mentors than these two! I have to start planning ASAP as it is only 2 months away and I have a 17x12 booth to fill...YIKES! Could use some advice from all you pros. Help me out!

  1. Denis, I'm no pro, but I'd love to help you get ready for your FIRST show if I can. I have learned a lot over the years doing shows. Come early to my booth in Warrenton so we can have time to talk. Don't you hate it when your job gets in your way of doing things you love most, but then again as with me it does pay the bills. The couple from Hico stopped in and talked to me too about doing the show but I think that would be a bit much for me to try to handle, but I will definately come and see you. Don't you love Felica, what a jewel she is. Amy of Bloom & Bee Swanky and Linda of Willows Nest will be there and my friends Mickie and Brandy that did the Accumulations show I believe are considering it too. Oh no, now this wants to make me what to do it too. Too much talent in one location. I'll check around for places for you to stay because yes I would so hate you missing the big shows. I'll email you, T

  2. Denis, great to hear from you today! No apology needed. I've been negligent lately. But, with work and preparations for Zapp, these things happen! Looking forward to seeing you! ~Mindy

  4. Denis, welcome home! We missed you. I'm so glad I postponed my trip to Lonestar until the end of April. Do you have time to do any shopping while traveling around? I will hate to travel and not be able to include a little bit of shopping here and there. I think you will love doing the Hico show. I went to the Accumulations show and it was the best time in a long time. The vendors there are the most genuine and sweet people in the whole world. Go for it, you will love it! Stop by and check what we have been up to in our end of town. Blessings ,Marta.

  5. You got some killer stuff there and who doesn't love a pink motel chair? I have a feeling you'll need no help at all. You're mdse. is killer and that's half the battle. When you've got the right stuff, it just seems to flow without fail and you've got the right stuff!
