What is Wrong With This Picture????

What is wrong with this picture???? Could it be that this is a 3 car garage WITH NO CAR IN IT! Yep...you have figured out the problem....good eye! Luckily, we have not had any horrible weather and the car is fine sitting outside, but I have to get organized! When my garage doors are up, I expect the producer form Hoarders to stop by and offer an intervention (or maybe even the guys from American Pickers). You take my own stuff (yard equipment, refrigerator, paint, pool supplies, other assorted necessities, and stuff I just can't part with), combined with stuff for resale and a mass of Halloween decorations....and you have a garage that is out of control. My very favorite holiday is Halloween and I transform my front yard into a haunted cemetery every year. What respectable haunted cemetery can exist without at least 25 headstones, 2 coffins, 3 fog machines, several stand up ghouls and TONS of scary stuff? Thus the last 3 pictures! I have made a spring cleaning commitment that I will not go to bed each night until I have done something to clean out the garage a little. I have so far at least divided the resale stuff into needs work and is ready to go! My goal is to have the car in the garage by the 4th of July holidays (it is the small things in life). It has been SO VERY HOT in Texas that spending any time out there has been a challenge, but I am making headway. Keep your eyes peeled and sometime next week I should be posting pics of a happy and hidden car...if I survive!

  1. Dennis, you don't know how much some people will give just to go and see all that stuff in your garage. To a hoar...I mean collector that is pure heaven. You got some organization going on so I think that disqualified you for the Hoarders show. Can you still walk around and find things? You are in better shape than many people I know, me included. The biggest problem I see in having things stored is the fact that sometimes we got so much money tied up in that stuff. I should be rich by know, instead I keep taking loads to the recycling station and donating stuff to Goodwill. You got impeccable taste and a great gift for merchandising your wares at the mall. Remember it did not got so pack in one day, so it might take you a while, just don't let it kill you specially if you are going to be working in the heat. Take care, Marta.

  4. Denis, I think you just need to open your own shop? Quit your day job and work for mere pennies doing you own shop, whatya think? Ok, I guess not, so maybe Intervention will come calling and want to make you commit to the intervention. I see major withdrawels going on here.

  5. Denis, your garage looks just fine to me!!! At least I can see the floor of yours and it looks clean to. You should see mine ~ scratch that ~ reverse it ~ I meant to say you should clean mine! Yeah that's it. Sometimes I like to pretend that the garage isn't there at all! Tee Hee!
