When you take a last minute trip to Round Top during the show, you probably will have to sleep in your car. I called a few hotels 30 miles outside of Round Top and was told they all had waiting lists. How lucky were we to find a room (well, a house) available at The Outpost @ Cedar Creek in Round Top. We stayed in The Victorian House! It has been totally redone as you can see from the pictures. The owner has spent the last 15 years doing several houses and a barn...one at a time. She said it took her about a year each to complete. The property is lovely and remote. The Victorian House has 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms, a great kitchen and bath and a half. We went to the barn for breakfast and a wonderful meal. Everything was lovely. If you are looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend these great accommodations. Several people I know have stayed there from time to time during the show and just raved about it. Now that's my kind of roughing it!
