Does anyone know anything about these prints? I bought them several years ago (cheap) for my home. In my last move, the glass broke on one of them and my mother took it to a frame shop to get it replaced. When she picked it up, the folks asked if we knew anything about these prints. They had researched and felt certain they were worth a lot of money (in the thousands of dollars as a pair). I was not sure I believed it, so I did not pay much attention. I love the prints and not sure I would consider selling even if it is true. Anyone familiar with these?
At first glance, they have a Bessie Pease Gutmann look to them or Jessie Wilcox Smith. I have an American art book and I'll check there for information. They are beautiful and very turn of the century looking.
