Whew...what a GREAT time we had in Warrenton this weekend. We must have hit the expensive parts on Thursday and I got worried that it was not going to be a productive trip...then we hit the jackpot on Friday! Saturday morning was spent going back to pick up all the big stuff and strategizing how we were going to get all the stuff into the back of my SUV and my friend's trailer. Bets Friday night were that I was going to have to drive back on Sunday and pick up what would not fit. Kenny and Tracy (pictured above) meticulously stacked, packed and wedged everything and we got it all in one load. I really wish I had taken a before picture with all the stuff scattered all over the porch and yard. It looks pretty compact in the pictures, but it was A LOT of stuff. While we were driving behind the trailer on the way home, we commented that drivers could not see the beauty of all we had bought and it just looked like a lot of junk! We sang the Beverly Hillbillies song as I am sure that is what we looked like...just needed Granny on the roof of my car in her rocking chair. The weather was nice, the food good and the vendors so friendly. Got to spend time with Theresa (Garden Antqs Vintage) and Mindy (Primitiques n' Poetry)...such wonderful ladies! We got some GREAT stuff for both the mall, our show in Hico, the lake house and my house...life is good. I always say that the happiest place on earth is not Disneyland, but Warrenton.

Denis, next time I'd be happy to be Granny on your roof sitting in the rocking chair! Although, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to see me because my arms and lap would be filled with goodies. I can see all the beauty of your wonderful finds in all it's glory!
ReplyDeleteBravo!
